Blog or Spam

Wordpress just released a study that found that 33% of blogs were spam. Some of the spam blogs have been created by scrapping content from another websites and you can find these spam blogs through pingbacks, search results, and linking through comments. That number seems so high but the study was based on the wordpress blog and their 2,523,000 and out of that number they have found more than 800,000 blogs that they have had to cancel. They do a good job of blocking a lot of spam with programs like askimet.
